School Rules
Contract for Learning:
All stakeholders—Students, Staff, Governors agree to:
‘Respect other people and their property so everyone can achieve their potential’
This contract has been agreed (on behalf of the whole school) by all stakeholders.
Speak to and work with others in a respectful manner
Only one person speaking at a time
Arrive on time and be equipped ready for learning. On time, means before the
lesson bell (second bell) for lessons 1, 3 and 4. Equipped means having a planner
and pen
Mobile phones and all electronic equipment are to be turned off between
8.50am and 3.35pm and must not be used or seen during this time
INSIDE the school building
Follow ALL staff instructions first time, every time. If you feel you
have been treated unfairly, your teacher WILL arrange a time to
see you to discuss it
Social Areas & Out of Class
- Walk in the corridors on the left
- Only eat in social areas and the dining room
- Ball games on field only
- Car park areas out of bounds
Coats must be removed upon entry to school building.
Only 6th Form students to use the main entrance in the morning.
Food must not be eaten outside of the social area.
These are all privileges which if abused will be removed.
Library
- No food or drink
- Use respectful language
- Leave furniture tidy and place litter in bins
- Follow instructions from the Librarian
Dining Area
- If available sit down at tables when eating
- Place litter in the bins
- Queue in single file
- Follow the lunchtime rota
- Put bag in locker prior to going to Dining Hall; no bags allowed in the Dining Hall
